I was born in 1961 in Cape Town, South Africa with a passion for the outdoors.  The Monterey Peninsula has been my home for 24 years. My journey of painting started 8 years ago, inspired by my horses in the landscape of ever changing light in their pastures that surround my house. Horses are a very important part of my life, they balance my energy and  help me feel.  When your inside  matches your outside, life starts to unfold.I use a palette knife and a very cheerful palette of textured color, no boring paintings! Plein Air painting has taught me to really see, never a dull moment!
 Whatever or wherever I paint has to grab me otherwise it is just another thing to do!
I am trained as beautician for 30 years, specializing in color and cuts, thus giving me the connection to what matters in people's lives.
I continuously take art and dressage (clinics) workshops to add to my toolbox.
You can never stop learning, it is what keeps us engaged and enjoying life.

I show my work in my salon,Lilli-anne  (of 20 years) on Ocean Ave in Carmel and in various shows with the Plein Air group of the Monterey Peninsula MBPAPA of which I am a Signature member.
